Vietnam Now! A Vietnamese Language Reader
A bilingual Vietnamese-English reader with graded news articles, literature, notes, exercises, photos, and native-speaker audio.
This is a 22-page Vietnamese-English board book for babies, toddlers, and families who want to share traditional Vietnamese rhymes. It collects 10 short pieces about animals, family life, and folk games, so it works best as a read-aloud or early bilingual reading book.
Vietnamese and English are presented together, with translations reviewed by experienced editors, including novelist Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai. Six Vietnamese artists contributed the colorful illustrations. The glossy 7-by-7-inch board format is sturdy and easy for small hands, and an EPUB edition is also available.
For learners, the main value is seeing short Vietnamese text beside an English rendering and meeting culturally rooted vocabulary in context. It is not a structured language course. There are no exercises, grammar notes, pronunciation help, or included audio. Some rhymes and folk games also need extra explanation if your family does not already know them.
