Em and con name the speaker in these examples. They are not extra translations of "morning".

Chào buổi sáng has three syllables. Each has its own tone mark.

The vowel spelling and tone mark do separate jobs. In buổi, the circumflex belongs to ô; the hook is the tone mark.
