This is Quyển 1 of Nguyễn Việt Hương's two-volume nâng cao sequence, following the two cơ sở books. Despite the Vietnamese title, its English subtitle labels it pre-intermediate. It suits learners who already know basic Vietnamese and want a structured next step.
You work through 12 numbered units, including two reviews. Topics cover preparing for Vietnam, hotels, restaurants, services, renting a home, applying to study, adapting to life in Vietnam, preferences, friendship, and receiving guests.
