Colloquial Vietnamese
A step-by-step self-study course with practical dialogues, regional pronunciation notes, exercises, answer keys, and free native-speaker audio.
Vietnamese with Ease 1 is a beginner coursebook for adults who want practical language for everyday situations. Lessons cover topics such as greetings, ordering food, directions, introductions, family, time, and dates, with English support for key instructions and explanations.
Each lesson combines picture-led vocabulary, short dialogues, grammar in context, reading and writing tasks, pronunciation work, cultural notes, and self-assessment. Listening activities use companion audio accessed through a QR code. This gives you more guided practice than a text-only grammar book and makes it suitable for self-study or use alongside a class.
The main limitation is feedback. You can repeat dialogues and complete exercises, but the book cannot correct your tones or prepare you fully for spontaneous conversation. It is also limited to beginner material, so you will eventually need a follow-up resource, teacher, or language partner.
