Description
Listen Listen is a 32-page English-Vietnamese picture book for young children, families, and early readers. Phillis Gershator's short rhyming lines move through the four seasons, pairing everyday nature scenes with sound words such as honks, rustles, splashes, and crunches.
The parallel text lets you compare the same story in both languages, while Alison Jay's detailed illustrations give children plenty of visual clues. Four seek-and-find pages at the back add a simple review activity, although the vocabulary labels on those pages are only in English.
The book is TalkingPEN enabled. With separately purchased hardware and the free English-Vietnamese audio file, children can hear the rhymes, animal sounds, facts, and interactive games. This makes it more useful for shared listening, but the book alone is mainly a short reading and vocabulary resource. It does not provide a course, grammar explanations, or speaking feedback.
