Vietnam Now! A Vietnamese Language Reader
A bilingual Vietnamese-English reader with graded news articles, literature, notes, exercises, photos, and native-speaker audio.
The Biscuit Moon is a bilingual English-Vietnamese picture book for children, officially aimed at roughly ages 6 to 12. It follows Buffalo and Lion as a fight over a biscuit during a drought grows into a lesson about greed, illusion, migration, and cooperation.
The 28-page paperback uses present-tense narration, illustrations, repetition, and a gradual build-up of vocabulary. This makes it useful for shared reading and for comparing how the story is expressed in English and Vietnamese. Its themes also give parents or teachers plenty to discuss beyond the language itself.
Every page works with Mantra Lingua's TalkingPEN, which can play the story in both languages after the matching audio is loaded. The pen is a separate purchase, so the book alone is mainly a reading resource. Free teacher notes and activities add lesson ideas, but this is not a structured Vietnamese course and does not provide systematic grammar or conversation practice.
No single resource works for everyone. Discover similar resources to The Biscuit Moon that the community has found helpful. Compare and explore to find the best fit for your Vietnamese learning journey.
