LingQ is a web and mobile app for learning Vietnamese mainly through reading and listening. It fits best if you like learning from real articles, podcasts, and transcripts more than following a step by step textbook.

You learn inside an interactive reader where you can tap words, save them to your vocabulary list, and review later with built in SRS. The Vietnamese section also includes a beginner friendly “Mini Stories” course and a grammar guide. You can browse the Vietnamese library on LingQ’s Vietnamese page or build lessons by importing your own content.

The free plan is usable for trying the method, but it has tight limits on saved words and imports, so most regular users end up paying (see pricing). Premium Plus adds extra AI features like audio transcription, AI voices, an AI chat, and simplified lessons. The tradeoff is that it is more of a reading and listening tool than a speaking program, and reviews often mention the interface can feel clunky or inconsistent depending on the language and content.
