Description
LingQ is a Vietnamese reading-and-listening app for learners who prefer immersion over a fixed course. You study stories, podcasts, books, videos, and articles with audio and matching text. The library includes native-speaker material, with Mini Stories as a starting point for beginners.
Tap a word for a meaning, save it, and let the app track what you know. Saved vocabulary goes into SRS flashcard review. You can also import YouTube videos, podcasts, ebooks, and articles as interactive lessons. Offline access and syncing make it practical for regular mobile study.
The tradeoff is structure. LingQ does not guide you through Vietnamese grammar, pronunciation, and speaking in a complete sequence. AI tools can transcribe or simplify content and provide text chat, but the chatbot does not offer full voice conversation. The free tier is mainly a test, capped at 20 saved words and five imports.
