In the app, you can watch YouTube, paste in text, or scan text from books and signs, then tap words for definitions, audio, images, and AI explanations. It makes the most sense for learners who like immersion and want one place to save what they find.

The main draw is how quickly it turns input into study material. When you spot a useful word or sentence, you can turn it into a flashcard with context, then review it with Migaku's spaced repetition system. The app also supports offline review and syncing across devices, which is useful if you collect cards on your phone and study later.

For Vietnamese specifically, Migaku now supports Vietnamese parsing and dictionary lookup, but its built-in beginner courses are listed for Japanese, Mandarin, and Korean, not Vietnamese. That means the Vietnamese experience is more tool-based than course-based. If you already have videos, reading material, or a study routine, it can be very useful. If you want a step-by-step Vietnamese course with speaking practice, this is probably not the best first app.
