Website for Storybooks Speech and Hearing

Storybooks Speech and Hearing is a free online library of short, leveled children’s stories in Vietnamese. It’s aimed at kids, families, and also speech and hearing professionals, but it works well for Vietnamese learners who want simple reading practice.

You pick a story and a level, then read Vietnamese alongside English. Each page also has a quick toggle to switch into an IPA view, which is useful if you want a pronunciation guide that goes beyond Vietnamese spelling. You can also download each story as a PDF for offline reading.

Audio support is built into the site, but it’s uneven. The project notes that recordings are not complete, and some Vietnamese stories show no audio available, so you should treat listening practice as a bonus when it’s there. The site also notes the IPA transcriptions are automatically generated and still being refined, so it’s best used as practice support, not a final authority.
