Description
Learn Vietnamese With Annie is a self-paced mobile app for learners who want conversational Southern Vietnamese, especially the speech used around Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta. Its lesson library is grouped from complete beginner through advanced, although lessons are self-contained rather than locked into one sequence.
Each lesson starts with a short fictional dialogue based on everyday situations. You hear the full conversation, then follow a Vietnamese and English discussion that explains key words, grammar, and sentence patterns line by line. Vocabulary review audio, translated scripts, and exercises give you several ways to revisit the material.
The app is strongest for listening, vocabulary, and understanding natural sentence structure. With more than 1,000 lessons and new lessons advertised twice a week, there is plenty to work through. It is less useful for active speaking because it does not offer live conversation or pronunciation feedback, and the English-heavy explanations may not suit immersion-focused learners.
