PhoSpeak is a mobile Vietnamese course for learners who want practical speaking and listening for daily life. It starts from zero knowledge and suits travelers, expats, and heritage learners. Its 16 modules cover situations such as food, transport, shopping, hotels, hobbies, and dating, using Northern Vietnamese pronunciation.
Lessons combine videos taught by certified teacher Linh Vu with native audio, vocabulary, grammar, listening work, and captioned audio stories. For tone practice, you record yourself, compare your pitch with a native model, and get instant feedback. Exercises include listening comprehension, fill-in-the-blank tasks, and audio discrimination.
The free tier includes core modules, vocabulary sections, and daily practice. Pro unlocks all modules, stories, and practice sessions. PhoSpeak puts teacher-led explanations and pronunciation work at the center, but it is less suitable if you want Southern speech or a non-English interface.
