Vietnamese 4 Everybody
Six short beginner podcast lessons on Southern Vietnamese sounds, tone marks, and numbers with simple listen and repeat practice.
This is a very short podcast by Vietnamese teacher Gấm Nguyên. It is best for learners who like listening to a real teacher talk through classroom examples, study habits, and small language points rather than following a full audio course.
There are only 6 episodes, each around 10 to 17 minutes. Topics include how she became a Vietnamese teacher, a student’s funny way of remembering vocabulary, class activity design, and using Quizlet to study words. You can listen on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
What it does well is keep things short and personal. You get useful learning ideas and some light grammar and vocabulary discussion without a big time commitment. The tradeoff is that it is not a structured beginner course, and the show is very small. With only 6 episodes published in July and August 2020, you will probably use it as a little extra listening resource, not as your main way to learn Vietnamese.
