Everyday Viet is a free YouTube series for beginners who want a quick introduction to Southern Vietnamese. Its 19 numbered videos teach practical basics such as greetings, numbers, days, forms of address, travel phrases, food, colors, place names, and common Vietnamese names.
Most lessons run for about one to two minutes. A presenter models each word or phrase while written Vietnamese and English support the explanation, so you can pause and repeat the pronunciation. The strongest material is the spoken-language content, especially the alphabet lesson, which explicitly uses the Southern dialect.
This works well as a small pronunciation and survival-vocabulary library, not as a complete course. The topics are easy to sample but do not build into a broad curriculum, and there is no personal correction or real conversation practice. The channel has only 19 lessons and its newest video was published in December 2012, so you will need another resource for continued study.
