Free YouTube channel with beginner friendly Vietnamese comprehensible input videos that use slow speech and visuals to build listening and vocabulary.
This is a small Easy Languages playlist of Vietnamese street interview videos hosted on YouTube. It is aimed at learners who already know some basic Vietnamese and want to hear how people speak in everyday situations, especially in Ho Chi Minh City.
The playlist is short, with about seven videos on topics like typical Vietnamese things, Nguyen Hue walking street, markets, sports, parks, and a language meetup in Saigon. The videos are only a few minutes each, so they work well for focused listening practice. A big plus is the bilingual subtitle format, which helps you connect spoken Vietnamese with meaning without needing a full lesson around it.
What it does well is give you natural speech, local culture, and useful everyday vocabulary in a format that is easy to rewatch. What it does not do is teach step by step. There are no drills, grammar explanations, or speaking exercises, so it works better as extra input than as your main study resource. Because the interviews are filmed in southern Vietnam, it is also most useful if you want exposure to Southern Vietnamese accents and speech patterns.
