Lingora
Beginner Vietnamese app with 500 sentence-based lessons, word-by-word notes, quizzes, and vocab review in both Northern and Southern audio.
DinoLingo is a mobile app for kids learning Vietnamese, mainly aimed at ages 2 to 14. It is built for families more than adult self-learners, so the tone is playful and visual. If you want a child-friendly way to start from zero, it gives you a structured path with beginner lessons and lots of repetition.
Inside the app, you get short activities built around videos, songs, games, quizzes, flashcards, books, and printable extras from their Vietnamese course page. Parents can set up up to 6 child profiles on one subscription, and each profile keeps its own progress. Dinolingo also uses a full-immersion approach, so the content is presented in Vietnamese rather than relying heavily on English explanations.
That makes it useful for building listening, basic speaking, early reading, and vocabulary in a kid-friendly way. The tradeoff is that it is not a strong choice if you want clear grammar teaching or serious conversation practice. Some parent reviews also say the app can feel repetitive over time, especially once the novelty of the games wears off. Dinolingo explicitly lists its Vietnamese course as Southern Vietnamese, which is helpful if dialect matters to you.
