The main appeal is the format. You get one course book and dozens of audio files, so you can read, listen, and repeat without needing an account or subscription. That makes it useful for beginners who want structured material instead of scattered phrase lists. The site also says the Cortina materials were shared with permission from the copyright holder, which is reassuring for an archive resource.

Where it falls short is that it feels like an older course, because it is one. You do not get interactive exercises, speaking feedback, or any live practice. The layout is basically an archive page, so you need to organize your own study routine. I also could not verify an explicitly stated dialect on the course page, so it is not the best choice if you want a clearly labeled Northern or Southern track from the start.
