Description
Vietnamese Headstart2 is a free, self-paced website from DLIFLC for beginners, especially military personnel preparing for deployment. It starts with Vietnamese sounds, script, and basic phrases, then shifts into mission-focused language.
The course follows two units with 20 Sound and Script tasks and 50 Military tasks. You work through interactive activities covering public safety, medical situations, commands, searches, and intelligence gathering. The site also includes pronunciation guides, a sound recorder, grammar and culture notes, a glossary, language tools, and printable certificates as you complete modules.
It is useful if you want a structured introduction and practical drills at no cost, with progress saved through a free account. The trade-off is its narrow purpose.
