Vietnamese learning web app with native audio, sentence drills, and spaced repetition to build listening, pronunciation, and speaking through daily practice.
VietSyllables is a free pronunciation practice website for Vietnamese learners. It is most useful if you want to hear how syllables change across tones and compare sound patterns in a clear, visual chart. Beginners can use the built-in basics and jump straight into listening drills, but it can also help more experienced learners clean up pronunciation details.
The main tool is a large syllable chart organized by initials and finals. You can filter by vowel and ending type, choose tones, and click cells to hear the matching syllables. The site says it covers more than 12,000 syllables, which makes it a strong reference for drilling sound combinations you keep mixing up.
There is also a minimal pairs section for practicing tone contrasts and similar sounds. That is especially helpful if you struggle to hear small differences between tones or finals. The website currently includes Northern and Southern audio options, with Central marked as coming soon.
What it does not do is teach Vietnamese as a full course. You are not getting structured lessons, grammar explanations, or conversation practice. Think of it as a focused pronunciation tool rather than an all-in-one learning platform.
