Vietnamese learning web app with native audio, sentence drills, and spaced repetition to build listening, pronunciation, and speaking through daily practice.
Elementary Vietnamese Grammar is a free Blogger site built around 30 contrastive grammar units. It is best for learners who already know some basic Vietnamese and want help sorting out words and structures that look similar but are used differently. This is more of a study reference and workbook than a step by step beginner course.
The content is divided into six long posts that cover units 1 to 30. Each unit explains a small set of related forms, gives English glosses and sample sentences, then follows with written exercises. Topics include common contrasts like cả and tất cả, để and cho, and and but type connectors such as và, còn, and nhưng. The source text also says it was written for basic to lower intermediate learners and can be used for self study.
What makes it useful is the contrastive approach. Instead of teaching one pattern at a time, it focuses on distinctions that often confuse learners. That makes it handy when you keep mixing up near synonyms or grammar particles. It also includes a lot of examples and practice, which is helpful if you like learning by comparing forms side by side.
The main limitation is that it is old and text heavy. The blog archive shows six posts from August 2012, so it does not feel like an actively updated learning platform. There is no audio, speaking practice, or guided progression, so you will get the most from it if you use it alongside a fuller course or tutor.
