Preply is an online marketplace where you book 1:1 Vietnamese lessons with independent tutors over video. It’s a good fit if you want flexible conversation practice, pronunciation help, or a tutor who can tailor lessons to your goals and schedule.

You browse tutor profiles, watch intro videos, read reviews, and filter by price and availability on their Vietnamese tutor listing. Your first meeting is a 25 or 50 minute trial lesson, which is mainly for goal-setting and checking if the tutor is a good match. After that, you typically continue on a subscription that renews every 28 days, and you can pause, cancel, or change your weekly lesson plan from your account.

Where Preply shines is choice and scheduling. The trade-off is consistency: tutor quality and teaching style vary a lot, and you may need to try a couple tutors before you find the right fit. Preply also promotes AI-based practice and feedback, but availability can be limited by language and rollout, so don’t pick it only for the AI features.
