Learn101’s Vietnamese section is a free, self-study course for beginners who want quick, bite-sized lessons without signing up for anything. It’s best if you like learning from simple tables, short explanations, and lots of example words and phrases.

You work through topic pages such as the Vietnamese alphabet, numbers, grammar categories, and “500 popular words” style vocabulary lists. Many items include audio buttons, so you can hear how letters and words sound while you study.

What it does well is speed and simplicity. You can jump straight to what you need, like basic phrases or core vocabulary, and use it as a handy reference while you’re learning elsewhere.

Where it falls short is practice and guidance. The “step by step” path is light, there’s no feedback on your speaking, and the exercises are limited compared with a modern course. Treat it as a free supplement, not your only Vietnamese program.
