Basic Vietnamese for English Speakers: Text-To-Speech

This is a free Anki flashcard deck for English speakers who want a basic Northern Vietnamese vocabulary base and a simple way to hear pronunciation while reviewing.

You get about 1,096 notes covering common words and short phrases. Cards are tone-colored to help you notice tone patterns, and the deck includes a tone chart plus tags so you can filter what you study.

Instead of recorded audio, the card template plays Vietnamese using Apple’s built-in Vietnamese text-to-speech voices. That makes it lightweight and consistent, but it also means you are not hearing a real speaker and you will not get much help with connected speech or natural rhythm.
