Cortina Vietnamese Course (Yojik)

Cortina Vietnamese is a free, old-school self-study course hosted on the Yojik FSI Languages site. It is best for learners who like structured lessons and lots of repeat-after-me practice, and who do not mind a vintage teaching style.

You get a single course PDF plus many audio tracks organized like CDs (multiple “CD 1–6” tracks). The course is built around listening, repeating, and shadowing, so it can be useful for building basic speaking habits and getting comfortable with Vietnamese sound patterns. What it does not give you is modern, interactive practice. There is no teacher feedback, no conversation partner, and no built-in spaced repetition. Because it is an older course, some wording and cultural references may feel dated, so it works best when you pair it with a modern phrase source and real listening from current Vietnamese media.
