Vietnamese for Everybody (Vietnamese 4 Everybody)

Pronunciation Starter Podcast

Vietnamese for Everybody is a small, audio-only beginner series made to get you comfortable with Vietnamese pronunciation. It is best if you want a quick start with the alphabet, basic sound rules, and tone marks before you dive into full lessons or conversation practice.

There are 6 episodes (about 14 to 19 minutes each) covering vowels, consonants, consonant combinations, accents and how to pronounce a word step by step, and then cardinal and ordinal numbers plus dates. The format is straightforward: explanations in English, then lots of listening and repeating.

It is useful for focused ear training and pronunciation basics, but it is limited as a full course. There is no real dialogue practice, no feedback on your speaking, and little grammar or everyday vocabulary beyond a few example phrases. The series is also older and stops after Lesson 6, so you will likely outgrow it quickly and need a more complete beginner course afterward. You can listen on Podomatic or Apple Podcasts.
