Lessons are built around real life scenarios and bite size practice. You learn words and phrases, then review them with spaced repetition so they come back before you forget. A standout feature is the native speaker video clips that let you hear how phrases sound at natural speed and with real accents.

Memrise also includes AI Buddies for practicing sentence building and speaking with feedback, which can help you get comfortable producing Vietnamese out loud. The free plan is usable, but it limits how much you can access, while Pro unlocks full vocab lessons, more videos, and more conversations.

Where it falls short is depth. You will get some grammar exposure inside lessons, but it is not a structured grammar course, and it will not replace real conversation with humans.
