LTL School

LTL School is an in-person Vietnamese program in Hanoi for travelers, expats, and long-stay learners who want structured lessons and a lot of real-world practice.

You can choose 1-on-1 classes (custom goals and flexible scheduling) or small group classes that they keep very small (they list an average of 3 students). If you want extra immersion, they offer homestays with a private room and two meals a day, plus apartment options near the school. Details and options are laid out on their Hanoi program page.

What makes it useful is the “immersion upgrade” style add-ons. Their Safari Upgrade takes you out with a teacher to do practical tasks like ordering food or bargaining at a market, but it is only available if you book a 1-on-1 program. The main downside is that this is not a self-study resource, so it is best if you can be in Hanoi and can budget for live teaching and accommodation.
