Vietnamese Lessons (I Love Languages)

Edit this resource

Vietnamese Lessons from I Love Languages is a free set of web pages that walks you through basic Vietnamese in 18 short lessons. It is best for beginners who want quick vocabulary and common sentence patterns in a format you can skim.

Each lesson is built around simple tables with English, Vietnamese, and clickable audio, plus a few short notes explaining the grammar topic for that lesson. For example, Lesson 2 covers adjectives and food, then gives sample sentences that reuse the words you just saw. Start from the course home page on I Love Languages and move lesson by lesson.

What it does well is fast exposure and lots of bite sized examples you can repeat out loud. Where it falls short is depth and practice: there are no real exercises, feedback, or guided speaking tasks, and the grammar explanations stay brief. It also does not clearly label a specific regional dialect, so it is better as a starter reference than as your only Vietnamese course.
