Báo Nhân Dân

Edit this resource

This is the “Truyện ngắn” (short stories) section of Báo Nhân Dân, a major Vietnamese news outlet. It’s for learners who want real Vietnamese fiction to read, not structured lessons.

On the Truyện ngắn page, you’ll find a running list of short stories you can open and read in full. Individual story pages show publication dates and typically credit the author at the end (for example, “Truyện ngắn của …”).

It’s useful if you’re upper-beginner to advanced and want to build reading stamina, meet more literary vocabulary, and get used to Vietnamese narrative style. What it won’t do is teach you: there are no glossaries, translations, comprehension questions, or level labels, so you’ll need your own dictionary and a way to track new words.
